ORDER OF MALTA WESTERN ASSOCIATION, U.S.A. ANNUAL LOURDES PILGRIMAGE APRIL 29 - MAY 7, 2008
Each year, members of
the Order of Malta accept Our Lady's invitation to pray at
the sacred Grotto of Lourdes and travel on pilgrimage.
The 2008 pilgrimage
will involve 50 sick persons, known in Lourdes as Malades.
The Malades are our honored guests, and all travel and lodging
expenses of Malades are paid for by the Order of Malta.
Thank you for your interest
in the 32nd annual Western Association Order of Malta Lourdes
Pilgrimage. Those of us who will be in Lourdes this year will
have the privilege of participating in the 150th anniversary
of Our Lady's Apparitions to Bernadette Soubirous. The global
significance of this extraordinary event is marked by the
Holy Father's invitation to the Catholic community to participate
and receive a Plenary Indulgence.
