Malteser International is the global relief arm of the Order of Malta, a 900 year-old lay religious Catholic order dedicated to defence of the Faith and service to the sick and the poor. Malteser International is responsible for coordinating and executing the Order's efforts in foreign humanitarian aid and disaster relief throughout the world.
Malteser International is committed to providing assistance to those in need without regard to creed, race, gender or nationality, and respecting the religious and cultural traditions of those we serve. Wherever possible, work is carried out in close partnership with local organizations, and often transitioned to their responsibility as soon as feasible.
